here is really something for Hino Rei in the colored version. She is more concerned with her duties as Shinto priestess and even had some crushes. She's not as boy-crazy as Makoto and Minako, though. But can the popular queen of T*A still be inlove....?

Well...it wasn't actually in the anime. Rei confronted Jadeite herself, seeing his face in the flames. Hmmm...maybe now you have to read the manga love story, too!
Jadeite is actually cute....

Rei was the first one to approach Mamoru and literally threw herself at his feet...Well, actually, she wanted to accidentally bump into him, but she became nervous and accidentally tripped! This was the guy who called Usagi, Odango Atama---which Usagi didn't like at first.

Rei dated Mamoru for sometime, thinking that he looked like Tuxedo Kamen, a thought that Usagi didn't like. (She liked Motoki as Tuxedo Kamen.) When it was finally revealed that Usagi and Mamoru were meant to be together as in their past lives, Rei backed out quietly. Inevitably hurt since Rei was apparently serious about Mamoru, even snapping back at Usagi when Usagi tried to pair her with Yuuichirou.

But it was Sailormars who pleaded with Tuxedo Kamen when he became evil and attacked them. Sailormars asked him to remember his love, Princess Serenity, (as she pointed to Usagi), saying this with tearful eyes.

One nice thought that by the second season, Rei was really over Tuxedo Kamen and even supportive of Usagi's relationship with him. (Yes, it's true, Sailormars bashers!) In season S, Usagi suspected Rei of still caring for her Mamo-chan, to which Rei's answer was a, "No!" and that Usagi can have Mamoru! ^_^ Love her fiery spirit!

Kou Yaten is one of the Three Lights, an idol group who is very famous. All its members are studying in Juuban High School. Rei's crush was Yaten among the three, thinking his green eyes and light blonde hair, cute. She even went to Juuban High school to see their performance.

In the manga, Rei thought that the Three Lights were all cute. (Along with almost everybody else.) Though she was more reserved with this idol crush in both anime and manga....

So I guess, I saved the best for last....

Like Jadeite in the manga, Yuuichirou fell inlove at first sight with Hino Rei. He had heard her cry out in help and stared into the face of the pretty Shinto priestess holding her unconscious ojii-san on her lap.

At that moment, he volunteered to help in Hikawa Jinja, even if it meant doing many chores and even hanging on a rope as Rei's grandfather asked.

Yuuichirou looks disheveled and he needs to shave, but his benevolent character makes him stand out. He's patient and generous, even volunteering his ski lodge for the girls to stay. "What is a rich person like you doing in the shrine?" Rei asked---surprised as we all are when that was revealed. Kamada Yuuichirou is rich!

But all Yuuichirou did, he did for love. He's a classic--a funny lovesick person. He tried to block an enormous snowball for her, while shouting, "Rei-san!" as he did. He blocked Cooan's enormous 'Dark Fire' for her. Heck, he saved her life twice not knowing that she is the senshi of fire! He fought for her when he erroneously thought that the guy Haruka was two-timing Rei.

"Baka!" (stupid!) Rei whispered when he left. But this will have a nice ending as she defends him against the daimon, announcing that she is doing this for "my Yuuichirou."

And she kissed him twice! The first was when she saw him smile. Rei probably thought that he was cute, seeing those features that were hidden by his hair. (He needs a haircut, ne?) But Rei paused and looked at him intently, then suddenly kissed him! She must've seen his charm! Imagine the surprise on Yuuichirou's face!

And Yuuichirou is cute. Those few scenes where his eyes were revealed showed that Yuuichirou is actually handsome. So maybe he's not the staunch hero we're looking for. But with his kind soul, it's no doubt that Usagi rooted Yuuichirou for Rei. ^_^
