ei Hino inlove? It seems quite hard to believe.... The Queen of T*A, however popular she is in school and admired by many men, is not at all interested to have a boyfriend.
Only in the manga were the generals ever linked with the Inner senshi. The Princess of Mars was paired with the Far Eastern officer, General Jadeite. But since the author only emphasized the story of the Moon Princess, I have no doubt that theirs was also a fairy tale romance, except that it had a tragic ending.
When she first appeared, reincarnated as Hino Rei, the beautiful shrine priestess sensed the abnormal activities of the Dark Kingdom. She was more reserved, blunt and intimidating. But her beauty enticed everyone who saw her.
Meanwhile Rei is lying on the floor somewhere in the castle. Jadeite approaches her. He strokes her hair. Jadeite says, "So beautiful...from the first time I saw her I've admired her with all my heart, this girl..." From Manga Volume 1 with greatest thanks to Rowena Lim
These were Jadeite's words when the Rei fell unconscious on his lap. But she was reawakened as the senshi of fire and even disappointed Jadeite that she was his enemy. Sailormars destroyed him with her Fire Soul.
In manga 11, Sailormars goes through another story of love, and sees Jadeite's face again, as she is reminded of her past. This could be one of the Naoko-san's hints with the senshi and the generals.
In manga 11, after it featured the story, "Lover of Princess Kaguya" which became the Sailormoon S movie, is her story. It shows pictures of her grandfather (not like the ecchi one in the anime), her father (a politician) and her pretty mother. It explains here that she isn't interested in men at all, much to Ami and Usagi's surprise.
Too busy for his family. Every April 17, her birthday, she is supposed to meet with him, but meets with her father's handsome assistant and successor, Kaidou-san instead. Rei was close to him when she was younger and they talk all the time. She receives supposed presents from her father given by Kaidou-san. Later she asks Makoto (a good confidante and seems to be an expert in this area) about love.
When she saw him later with another woman whom he's going to marry, Rei was apparently devastated. Rei thought that she found a comrade in him---that he too wouldn't want to marry and make his children unhappy, just like what her father did. But somehow her father also had something to do with Kaidou's marriage. "Liar!" she told him. "If you want to enter politics and become my father's successor, then you should just marry me..." Then they kiss in the rain. (A rare moment, especially for someone like Rei, when it's Usagi who has scenes like this.)

These men may not have come close to the intimidating shrine maiden, but like many others, they have been attracted to Hino Rei. (She was not interested, of course.) Here are some of them, anonymous as they may be to us and to Rei....
Still in manga 11, one April 17th, someone gave Rei flowers on her birthday. This guy told her that he learned the date from his sister who was also studying at T*A Private School. Kinda industrious, isn't he? ^_^
One day in August, Usagi, Ami, Makoto and Rei were enjoying the day in a private resort. Rei was wearing a nice bikini as she reclined on her chair. The waiter arrived to give her a drink, courtesy of these two gentlemen. But that wasn't the first one she received that day! With a smile, Rei accepted the free drink and all the other drinks she received from other guys ....^_^!
In the story of Rei and Minako in manga 13, Minako saw for herself what she heard about her friend, Rei. As Rei was walking past, two policemen stared at her intently and was also captivated by her.
Well, Usagi's not actually a man, but she also admired Rei when she first came. She followed her and raved that, "She is so beautiful!" As she was thinking to herself and describing the senshi, she thought, The terrifying when angry, who can control fire and who has psychic abilities, the beautiful priestess Rei is Sailormars...
