This is Bokaap. Also known as The Malay Quarter. Which is next to Tamboerskloof.
Here are few photographs I took for an architect (David Biek) who asked for some pictures of the older buildings in Cape Town. He wanted us to focus on the buildings that had Victorian Cast Iron Lace trimmings. These examples are mostly of that type. Most of them are found in the suburb of Tamboerskloof. One kilometer from the centre of Cape Town.
