Even the happiest people of the
world have problems too...
A Hurting Past...
During Minako-chan's days
as SailorV, she befriended a policewoman, Katarina. They grew to be
very fond of each other that Minako introduced Alan, the guy she fell
in love with in England. Minako-chan loved Alan dearly but she didn't
realize that her 'onee-chan' (Katarina) and her crush, Alan, were
already falling for each other.
One time, Sailor V had to go a
mission where she would encounter an enemy in a warehouse.
The warehouse exploded leaving an injured Sailor V. She
managed to hide in an alley and found Katarina
and Alan, hugging and crying for they thought that SailorV is already dead.
They didn't know that she
had managed to survive. Meanwhile, SailorV was in the alley crying silently
as she realizes the truth.
I wish some
nice guy with some roses comes up and says, 'young lady won't you
go out with me tonight?' -- Minako (sms episode 100)
Nobody
after Alan?
It is quite surprising to think that a pretty and charming girl like
her would never have another man in her life. This was especially
shown in an episode 100 (Sailormoon S) as she ponders a lot why she
doesn't have a boyfriend.
Although
she has a lot of idols, Minako-chan feels that she still lacks somebody to be
with,
somebody to love. She realizes this one day when Asai-kun walked in her life.
She realized that
she really feels empty inside. (Well, it turns out that he had a girlfriend
already...)
A Sacrifice of Normal Happiness...
In the same episode of Sailormoon
S, Minako-chan realizes that as a senshi, she misses enjoying
the normal things in life. Her duty as a senshi often gets in the way for
she knew that she had to
put off being a normal teenager as long as she's Sailorvenus. She asks Haruka-san
the same question
to which Haruka feels too uncomfortable to answer because it applies to all
of them. In the end, though,
Minako realizes that to really love a person, you have to give up your own
happiness to make it possible...
A Heart not Pure Enough?
As the senshi were studying,
they also talked about how getting your heart crystal hurt more than
studying. Minako-chan realized that the enemy never pursued her, causing
her to draw a conclusion that maybe, her heart wasn't pure enough
for her to be a target.
She sadly asked Artemis and
to help subdue her feelings of bitterness, she played volleyball to
ease the pain. Usagi realizing that her friend would maybe do something
drastic to prove that her heart was pure, followed her around.
As soon as Minako-chan started
donating blood (she researched and asked Haruka and Michiru about it)
Usagi gave her drinks so that she wouldn't lose strength while she donated
her blood, which was almost
everyday! It was then until Eudial aimed and shot at her chest.
She ran away with it finally happy that she
truly had a pure heart...
Not Fit
to be the Leader?
In the manga,
in Dreams of Venus, it was shown there her fear that she wasn't
fit enough to be the leader, especially after not having her powers
before the others did.
She secretly feared
that others would doubt her capabilities since they already had their
powers. She sought out to make her dream possible, that is to become
an idol. She ended up trying to save everyone, herself and Artemis in
the end and she finally receives her power-up from Artemis.
