53RD KOUHAKU UTAGASSEN
Akina appeared on NHK's 53rd Annual Kouhaku Utagassen
on December 31, 2002. It was her first time on the show in 14 years. She had previously
participated in the year-end singing contest from 1983 through 1988.
Akina's lively performance of "Kazarijanainoyo Namidawa" featured the musical arrangement from her self-cover album "Utahime Double Decade."
