Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal The 68th Peetathipathi of the Peetam. Commonly known to his disciples as the "Jagatguru". He was adopted by the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam in 1907 at the age of 13. In 1993, his 100th Birthday was celebrated in Kanchipuram. Attained Samadhi on 8th January 1994.  During his 87 years at the head of the Peetam, he had travelled all over India by foot, spreading the teachings of Sri Adi Sankara.
