Silk Yarn Dyeing In local dyeing units, the plain silk is dyed with the required colors. The silk is dried in sunshine for days after dyeing. Rows of silk yarn being dried is a common sight in the side streets of Kanchipuram. This is usually a collective effort of entire families.
