The Eastern Gopuram, a towering nine storeyed structure of Sri Varadaraja temple is in a dilapidated condition and calls for extensive renovation and repairs. 

Sri Azhagiya Manavala Jeeyar, the pontiff of Sri Azhagiya Manavala Jeeyar Math, coming in the lineage of "Koil Kalvijeeyar" has now undertaken the sacred renovation work of the ancient Eastern Gopuram. "Koil Kalvijeeyar" as per Temple Documents, is responsible for the structural works of the Temple. This mammoth Gopuram renovation work is possible only with the wholehearted support and liberal contribution by the Devotees and philanthropists.It is therefore appealed to all Devotees, philanthropists and general public to kindly contribute liberally and extend their esteemed helping hand for the completion of this sacred and memorable Divine cause.
