LOVE about tobacco
Hyde: "I started smoking at around 15. At that time there was this thing called
'nazogaku jiten' (Dictionary of enigma/riddles/unexplained). Inside, it listed that by
law, people who are under the age of 20 are not allowed to smoke. Then I thought
'How come those kids in dramas can smoke and I can't?'. Then I found out that those
under-age actors smoked a chemical called 'neon cider' (???) not real cigarettes.
So I quickly went to the drug store to buy some of it. 'For your father?' the
drug store owner asked me. 'Yaa~~' I answered and bought it successfully.
That's really how I started to 'smoke'.
Now I smoke about one box of cigarettes a day."

Kawamura Ryuichi ~ behind the scenes at lives
"During Kawamura Ryuichi's first live with the name Kaminaga-san (from
drama 'FUTARI' where he starred as lead actor), there were
audiences that bought their kids along and asked if there
was any 'Day-care centre' available, all the staff went doki doki."

~ While reading the JP BBS, I found...~

Hyde is color blinded. (I think he metioned this in "IS" too?)
That's why he said he can't paint. He can only sketch or draw. No wonder his
favorite color is white!
It's the true color he can see...(or along with black)..
how sad...;_;

Just got some news from Catherine regarding this topic:
hyde is only part colorblind. He is able to see most colors. But he can't find the
difference between light pink and light green colors. They look as gray...that's why
he only
wears clothes that have strong colors or that's white.
If he couldn't, why would he collect blue glass produces?

About interesting things that just happened:
New York was fun! It was my first time there. It has a different feel compare
to Europe. I like this fun, active living style in New York. I stayed there
for 10 days. I bought many things, gone out to eat, and hung around a lot
in downtown.
Other than N.Y, I also went to London and Milano. Boy! I was just like
a fashion journalist! ^^;

About sad things that just happened:
The death of Gianni Versace. I was his fan ne! Also the death of Princess Diana,
Mother Teresa, Kashin (sp?) Taroo made me very sad.

About LUNA SEA:
Now, I'm experiencing a lot of things. Everyone is doing their solo work. I am
also doing my solo work. What a band we will become! Hmm...we will be back together
next year, but there's still many days ... so please please wait!
(L: Yes yes!! New single "STORM" is going to be released on 4/15!! Can't wait!!!!!)

About Guitar:
Now, I have about 20 guitars in my home. They are all ESP models. Maybe there are
more, I'm not sure. For Bass guitar, I have 7. Up to now, all my guitars are in black,
purple, red and brown color. haha, for me, looks comes first ne...for guitars..
even though the sound is very important...but to me, playing with a cool
looking guitar is very important too ne!

About Internet:
I have interest in Internet. Isn't it like being put into a cemetry...??? (what??)
That's how I see it. Althought it is extremely convenient to send messages and
get information around very very quick, but once a rumour is spread, it spreads
FAST ne! It is very scary. It's really a good thing, but all of you, please don't
over use it.

About Computer:
I use Macintosh's Sequence Soft. This time for the solo album, I used it to help
me with my composing. In Luna Sea, after I've done the original composing,
it is necessary for it to be put into the computer (for mastering, clean-up..etc.)
Haha, back then, I always forgot how to do work with this sequence!
I also have a 2400 power book and 5400 Performa. When I am working overseas,
I always take my powerbook with me so I can send messages back home easily.

About 14 yrs old:
I was in grade 8. It was the time I encountered real music. Now, I still think
that was the time my life changed. It was also the time I met J. But we
were just High School kids. We didn't think about future at that time. I could
not have imagine music would be my life like it is now. It was about 1-2 years
later that I bought my first instrument. Later I started to watch those foreign
music shows "Hit Chart". I also started to rent records.
One day cost of rental was 250 yen. I miss those days...^^. But I now rent CDs ne!

About Movies:
Movies I like are "Story of Lisbon", "Berlin, Angel's song" and "The Godfather".
I also want to see "hanabi" by Takashi san. I really like theaters ne. Watching
a movie in a theatre is completely different from watching at home. Because it
has big screen and big sound. When I go to theatres, I don't buy popcorn, I buy
juices ^^;. The theatres in Tokyo are too big, and too many people. So I go to
see movies when I am on tour with Luna Sea. Although those theatres might be alot
smaller, but it is great that they are not so crowded. I also love to sit in the
very front row when watching movies too!!

About Summer:
I don't like heat. Although hot weather to me is bad, but I like Summer!
Because you have this free feeling! Before I used to go to the sea a lot, but
not now. The schedule timing is no good. In foreign places, they have long summer..
so good..next year, I want to spend the summer by the sea side or some place
that is not too hot. (wanna stay away from heat.)

"About scars..."
I have lots of scars.
One of the big scars I've got is from an car accident. I was traveling
in a car with my friends, when the other side was driving without the
brakes on and we were not careful turning the curve. So we were bounced
off the road.
That's when I made a big scar on my face.
I can't remember accurately.
I remember the part we the car was falling...and after that I remember
a farmer looking over me saying [Are you alright?].
The next piece is... walking the road staggeringly.
And next a farmer's car helped me... I was in blood stains... and then
in the ambulance.
Most of the memories are short feelings.
I do not want to make scars on my body."

SUGIZO
What are your comments on Akasaka Blitz LS come back Live?
I felt like a highschool student all over again!! It was like "Oh my God!!
We're going to have a live again!!" I was very nervous! Just like
when highschool students go camping, the night before you just couldn't
sleep at all!! That's really how I felt.

How long was the rehearsal for Akasaka?
Oh! Very little. Only 5 days!

About new album:
We composed a total of 20 songs. But we still haven't selected them
into the album yet.

INORAN
What did you think of Ryuichi's solo?
Ryuichi did ALOT of things!! He did so many things at one time ne! I can
never do so much things like that. He had great success all the way through.
It was a wonderful thing! I admire and respect him.
What did you think of J's solo?
I went to see his live! But I didn't see some sections. The last time where
he was on stage and I was in the audience was like 8 years ago..^_^
It left me with a very strong impression.
About "Kono sekai no hate de" :
Reporter: It has pretty heavy guitars!
Inoran: Hmm..that's Sugi-chan's idea. I didn't think that deep ne ^^;.
Reporter: "MOTHER" (composed by Ino) was given a very high commendation.
Feel any pressure this time?
Inoran: Ohoh! The c/w of STORM this time has a similar mood and feel of "MOTHER".
But it somehow has the overflowing of excitement in it! ^_^

New Album
New album will be released in Summer. During the year of 1997, each
of us had explored our own dimension of music. Now with the 5 of
us together, we'll sure be producing a very great album. And because
of our pride, we really want everything to be extremely well done. Ah..nonono, it is
not "we want", we DEFINITELY will make it outstanding, promised.

SHINYA
What did you think of Inoran's solo?
He didn't show up a lot on media and didn't do much promotion as well..and the music
he did...all sounded soooo much like Inoran himself ^^;. It was the true Inoran.
It was also the first time EVER I heard him sing. I've never heard him sing before even
when we go karaoke! I was surprised! But I think throughout the year, he
changed a lot. The greatest change I think is that he is now becoming more and
more talkative ^_^. It shows that he has more confident in himself. I think he
definitely matured.

Interviewer: So is "With - you" a love song?
Taka: Yes it is a love song, but compare to the ones in "Sculpture of Time", it is different.
It is a different style we do and we would like to try various kinds of things to expand our world of music.
Not only that, La'Cryma Christi's "My Boom" (L: it means style OR the way they're heading to OR
the things that's meaningful to them) is changing.
Interviewer: So will you guys continue this "My Boom"?
Taka: We'll still continue it, however these days it is really changing ^_^ Now I'm beginning to think that Chinese
is a very cool language and we are going to use it in some of our songs. (L: What?? HAHAHAHA!!!!)
Interviewer: Where did you have the chance to listen to Chinese?
Taka: Oh, it was just some really simple Chinese like "I'll walk with you to East South West North" (laughs)
(He said that in Chinese ^_^;;)
Levin: Yes! That's Chinese!
Taka: Well, English has been used ALOT in many songs by MANY artists. We want to do something interesting
and this is our "Boom". It is a challange as well as a risk for us. I will feel DOKI DOKI (nervous) too.
But later in the future....the Asia market.....^o^
Intervier: Wow, you're already aware of that!
Levin: Ha! By just "East South West North"! (laughs) (he said that in Chinese also) ^_^/

ANOTHER STORY in the name of GLAY
(L: Took place around the making of VIDEO GLAY 3 )

October Xth, Los Angeles,
From the City of LA, about 1 hour drive down South, there stayed the four members of GLAY...

Sun was hanging high in the sky.....heat was in the air...under the sunshine of California, Teru, HIsashi and Takuro were
tanning themselves on the beach chairs...
Without any disturbance nor the fuss of security guards, the three of them were having the time of their life....
something that they can never ever do in Japan. Jiro was in the pool by himself...wearing the goggles he swam
around and around...as if he was doing a training....^^

Takuro: "If I call to Tokyo for about 1 hr by the telephone in the hotel, how much does it cost???"
Teru (surprised) : "........ee????? You just arrived here yesterday and you made a 1 hr call to Tokyo already??? huh???"
Takuro: "Well, after I returned to my room, I connected to the provider in Japan and got access to internet...then I got sleepy
and went to sleep...but i think I played for about 1 hr...I went to homepages...browsing around..^^"
Teru: "In America, I think they have discount after midnight...but still expensive....about 4~5 thousand yen??"
While Teru and Takuro is still discussing about the cost...Hisashi suddenly sat up, turned around and started his "back-tanning"..
totally ignoring Teru and Takuro...^^;;
They made a "morning service" order just after they left their rooms. It was a poolside brunch. Again, having such great
fun in a totally relaxed mode was something they couldn't possibly do in Japan publicly ne!

"O-i!! Jiro!! Food is here!!" called Takuro. After hearing that, Jiro turned around and gave a "OK! Coming!" look to Takuro.
Wrapping a magazine in his hands, he walked casually to the table under the shade where all other members were ready to
have their breakfast...

Next Day~

A gorgeous day in L.A, Teru, Takuro, Hisashi and Jiro went to Universal Studio to try the most talked about rides in Japan:
"Back to the Future" and "Jurassic Park". They felt like floating in the air...it had been such a long time that they felt such
"excitements". Through out all the rides, all four of them carried their smiles from the beginning to the end. ^_^
"UWaa~~I see a movie character!! Let's go there!!!!!! *_* "
"There's the Jurassic Park Attraction!!!!!! It is the newest in Universal Studio!!! Waa~~~!!! *_*"
(L is now imagining what would happen if she saw them in Universal Studio.....hoho....lining up the queue and suddenly
sees Hisashi...hoho...^-^; )

In the front entrance of Universal Studio, the members wanted to go take a look at the bright "Universal Studio" sign.
However, because it was such a popular spot, there were many Japanese tourist that the Studio had to send American
securities to "protect" Hisashi, Teru, Takuro and Jiro..^^

Next they went to the Tram Tour: "Back to the Future Clock"..."King Kong".."Earthquake"..."Jaws"....*_* They were just so so
so happy and excited!!!!!! They felt like being little kids all over again!!!!!...^_^
(L again imagines what would happen if she was on the tram.....hohoho...)
Afterwards. they also went to the E.T ride.....the "Terminator 3D Attraction"...
The day was full of exciting experiences that each GLAY members were very thankful for having such a one day holiday...
There was no way they could have such experiences in Japan...

"I'm hungry!!!! >_< Let's find some place to eat!" said Jiro suddenly. All members agreed and they headed out to the "Universal
City Walk" . It was already 6 o'clock. Time passed by so fast that there were very surprised.

They went to a Mexican restaurant and settled themselves down.
"Even though our T-shirts had finally dried up...but really....I never thought the 'Jurassic Park Ride' would just 'drowned'
us like that...^^;;" said Takuro.
"Then there's the 'Water World Show'!! Again...non-stop water!!!! The Americans always like to over-do things ne... ^^"
said Hisashi.
With great rhythmic Mexican music in the background and a wonderful meal in front of them..the laughs and talks were
just endless..

After dinner, they went to this shirt-making store. The excitment that was experienced just right when they stepped in
Universal Studio came back all over again!
"Ohohohoh!!!! I GOTTA get this!!!!!!"

There were many posters they could chose from to make it printed on to a t-shirt: "Black Draft"..."Star Wars"...etc..
Finally, the members bought back the following:
Takuro and Jiro : STAR WARS T-shirts (L: Hey Takuro...bought one for Sugizo as souvenirs????? ^____^)
Teru: Black Draft T-shirt
Hisashi: Terminator T-shirt

"That's not all!!! We're not going back with just these!! Must go shop shop!!" and all four of them went to search for other
movie goods stores.....
