Sarah
(b. 1983)
Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm a sophomore at Wakefield High School. I have been playing the violin since I was 3 years old when I started studying with my Mom. Along with playing the violin, I also play the viola and percussion in the school band. I began viola when I was in 6th grade and play it whenever it's needed in orchestra or small ensembles. I began playing percussion my freshmen year during marching band. When I'm not busy with music, I'm involved with my youth group, Arfax USY, and bowl in a league every Saturday morning. USY stands for United Synagogue Youth and is for Jewish high school students all over the country. In my chapter, I am Vice-President and I love it because I get to spend time with my friends and meet new people. I have been bowling since 5th grade and I like it because it's the only sport I'm pretty good at!
My Favorite Classical Pieces:
"Preludium and Allegro" by Fritz Kreisler
Concerto for Violin in A Minor by Bach
"Cappricio Espagnol"
"Pictures at an Exhibition"
