Transparant was founded as 'Cinqcoop' in 1998 by five members of the former 'Voorne Vocaal'. Later the name was changed into 'Transparant'. They are conducted by Ronald Kreuk.
Since 1998 Transparant performed many times mostly with ancient music repertoire: the Mass for 4 voices by William Byrd and several madrigals.
