Magister Cantat was founded by students and teachers of the Academy of Pedagogy in Rotterdam. It's a mixed choir of around 25 members. The conductor is Arie Eikelboom.
The choir is specialized in religious music and frequently perform on Dutch radio and television.
Some years ago they started a Bach Cantata series of performances and recently they succesfully performed the Requiem by M. Duruflé.
Just before their visit to Prague they asked me to join them because of an acute shortage of tenors. In Prague I accompanied them in a series of very succesfull concerts. Since then I joined them on a temporary basis.
The last time I sang with them the choir performed 'Israel in Egypt' by G.F. Händel in Vlaardingen and Dordrecht.
