The United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma's Scottish Heritage Festival Highland Dance Competition will be held and judged according to SOBHD Rules and Regulations.

The adjudicator's decision is final. Communication with the adjudicator or the piper before the competition, by the competitor or other interested persons, is strictly forbidden and may be grounds for disqualification.

Competitors will dance in age groups according age as of March 21, 1998. Age groups will be determined by number of entries received. Medals will be given through 3 places and awards through 6 places for Pre-Premier, except for Primary Class (under age 7). Premier dancers will be awarded as follows:
1st = $$ 2nd = $$ 3rd = $$ 4th = $$ 5th = $$ 6th = $$

Trophies will be awarded for each class for Highland Dance, based only on the scores for the three Highland Dances. The trophy winners in each Premier clas will have a Dance-Off for the Dancer of the Day Trophy. The dance for the Dance-Off will be selected by the Adjudicator.

*Please note that the times are tenative at present. Check your registration materials in case this changes.*

Primary, Beginner, and Novice Registration begins at 8:30am. Dancing begins at 9:00am. Primaries will dance after Beginner and Novice classes are finished. Morning awards will be presented immediately after the Primaries finish.

Intermediate and Premier Registration begins at 12:30pm. Dancing begins at 1:00pm. Afternoon awards will be presented immediately following the competition.

Entry fee is $7.00. Entries must be postmarked by March 14, 1998. Make check or money order payable to Midwest City Scottish Heritage Festival.

Upon receipt of entry, you will be mailed a packet with maps and a gate pass for the competing dancer.
