Welcome to On Your Toes! You are lucky enough to have comeacross the ultimate site for all of you ballet lovers out there. As always, feel free to e-mail me suggestions/comments. Just keep in mind that I may not be able to answer every letter personally--but fret not. If you have a question or need advice, try signing my guestbook (be sure to leave your e-mail address) and asking other visitors. I'll try to pick a few questions out of the guestbook every now and then to answer on my question/answer page.
I hope that everyone is having a great holiday. If I may offer a humble suggestion for holiday gifts, I think books are the best gift yuo can give. So if you are having trouble thinking of a present for that special dancer in your life, click on over to my handy ballet bookstore to check out my personal recommendations.

- 'Tis the season for ballet! The Nutcracker seems to be everyone's favorite--whether you're a ballet lover or not. Just about every balet company and school puts on a production of Nutcracker, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding one in your area.
- Competitions I noticed that there is a new article on the Dance Magazine site containing tips for competitors. Though I am not very familiar with ballet competitions, many ballet schools choose to compete. The tips seem pretty realistic, so feel free to check them out. Just go to the Dance Magazine site and click on "Contents."
