Then they fall silent as the button is pushed That dead silence from when the button is pushed until the music starts Your hands sweat Your body shakes Even your mind goes blank Just then you feel your heart pounding right out of your chest Then the music starts You forget everything The music surrounds you until you can feel it in your soul You forget that anyone is there but you As you twirl and toss and jump The crowd screams for more But you never hear them Just the music Suddenly the music stopped The dance is over and the crowd loved it As you stand in your final pose You take a deep breath Walking away you think to yourself It's all over until The Next Dance |
