The snow has been gone for a week it is warm and bright like |
the last days of April. I was burning off meadows today. |
Fulton came in this morning the first he has been here since |
last summer he went back on train tonight. |

Sister Mary was married at Minneapolis to Mr. William |
Gutherie. The last of our sisters. They are all married now. |
And we three boys are left with Mother - well I hope they will |
be happy and get along well. I wonder who's turn it will be |
next. |

Sister Hilda & Neal came home today. She got tired of living |
in the woods and I don't blame her either. It is not right that |
she should stay up there with old Amadon for he is the |
meanest man that ever lived. If Fulton can't furnish her a |
home somewhere else she had better leave him. Such is life. |
Those that are married wish they were single and them that |
are single wish they were married. I am sure I don't know |
which is best. |

I drove to Sauk Rapids and back to get some grass seed |
awarded by the State to seed meadows burned out by fires |
last fall. I got two bu. of red top and one of timothy. This is |
the first time I ever drove out and back in a day. |
