We bought a new self binder the first one we ever had on the |
place. I hope we will have good luck with it. It will reduce the |
work of our harvest one half. |

Monday, August 19, 1895 |
I started from home for Barnesville on the six o'clock train. |
Got here at 3 P.M. next morning and went to work for the G. |
N. RR Co. in their store here at $65.00 per month. I hated to |
leave home, the folks there and my little girl. But we can not |
always be together and I have stayed at home longer than |
most fellows do. I hope I can stand the work and get |
something better after awhile. |
