We bought a new self binder the first one we ever had on the
place. I hope we will have good luck with it. It will reduce the
work of our harvest one half.
Sunday, July 28, 1895and she has ever
Amanda finished a week working here and I went home with forward to be the

Monday, August 19, 1895
I started from home for Barnesville on the six o'clock train.
Got here at 3 P.M. next morning and went to work for the G.
N. RR Co. in their store here at $65.00 per month. I hated to
leave home, the folks there and my little girl. But we can not
always be together and I have stayed at home longer than
most fellows do. I hope I can stand the work and get
something better after awhile.
Saturday, August 10, 1895and we both nearly
