I bought the S. 1/2 of the N. E. 1/4 of Sec. 14 - 37 -28 of A.

Upham?? of Northfield for three hundred dollars. One

hundred down and the balance on three years time.

Saturday, January 23, 1897

Sister Mary and Will [ ?? another note here that can not be

read ] her husband came home for a visit. we were very glad

to see them and little George too.

Tuesday, February 09, 1897

Mary and Will went home today. We were very sorry to see

them go. And little George we got so attached to him. We

hated to part with him. We hope that God will protect them

and bless them.

Monday, March 22, 1897

Kate and Birdie went away today. They have left Milaca and

gone to Plainville to live. Frank goes into the bank with his

Bro. It will seem lonesome now when we go to Milaca not to

see them there. Now all the girls are over a hundred miles

from home. Sorry to see them go but I hope it is for the best.
