"Classic Albums: Hysteria" is a British-made documentary along the same lines as VH1's Ultimate Albums. I was checking out the Def Leppard Archive and came across a review for it and knew I had to have it. I went to my local Best Buy store and there it was for only $20! The reviewer was right, it's utterly FANTASTIC!!! This is exactly what I would want to know if I were priviledged to spend time with them. How do they create this great music? Here is the in depth stories behind the songs and demonstrations of how the album was crafted together!!!! And once again I fall in love with each of them for being so giving to one another. The praise they heap on Mutt Lange's head is naked reverence every time it's spoken. These really are a humble group of guys who feel lucky to work with one another. No drama queens or L.S.D. (Lead Singer's Disease) in this group.
Gotta luv'em!
"Hysteria" was, by far, my favorite Def Leppard album before "Slang". Worth every penny, you've got to get this DVD!

"Classic Albums: Hysteria" DVD
Their entire video collection (Four video tapes) is now available on two DVD's, sold separately for about $25.00 a piece! For only $50 you can have their complete collection on DVD, perfect quality sight and sound! (Am I using too many exclaimation points? But wait, there's more :) Not only that, but they also included an interview of the band members that was recorded in March 2002.
The First disc is, of course, my favorite, (and will be my Christmas present to everyone I know who still rocks) is the first video collection of their work called "Historia", great music except for the hokey piano in between (Sorry guys).
The second feature is "In The Round, In Your Face", the band in the full glory of concert. If you never got to see them live you MUST get this! It is the next best thing. Filmed during the Hysteria tour, when they performed "in the round" (the stage in the center of the arena floor instead of at one end, so that more fans could get close enough to see them). You get to experience in the comfort of your own home the greatest rock band doing what they do best: play high voltage rock and roll! They are pitch-perfect, but with a raw live edge, and keep you watching as they scramble constantly from one side of the stage to another. You also get to see and hear Steve Clark in action, the best legacy he could've hoped to leave. (But wait! There's still more!)...
This DVD also has their last "rare" videos:
AND they put some of the interview, to boot! For only $25.00???? Unbelievably affordable!
The second DVD, "Visualize" and "Video Archive" is a compilation of the band's videos, live performances, interviews...in short makes the average Def Leppard groupie like me very happy!!! There's no better way to spend a rainy winter day than to have Def Leppard in my livingroom!!
They are worth every dime. Go ahead and fall in love with them again. You need to rock, don't you?
