Dian's Genealogy Page

Genealogy has become an obsession with me. I have met a lot of very nice and helpful people in doing my research.

I have found a second cousin in Florida, Doug Colbary, via the internet. He has given me a lot of information regarding the Colbary line (my dad's side of the family) and we are working together to nail it down. He also has a website: Switchboard Personal Page

My husband Mike's side of the family has been researched by his step-grandma Barbara Maybury and she has been quite generous in sharing her information with me.

His grandma, Lora Callahan has done a lot (and I mean a lot) of work on her ancestry and has also been very helpful.

On my mom's side of the family I am very grateful to my grandma's cousin, Helen McKinney for all her help.

Currently I am working on:

Mowry/Morey: Rhode Island > Connecticut > New York >Pennsylvania

Click here to see Asa Morey's will from 1808.

Collbarry, Colberry, Colbary: Ontario, Canada > New York > California

Here's Vic's Social Security Application

Wismer: Ontario, Canada

Dicker, Klein: Austria-Hungary > New York

click here to see a my great-uncle Marty's birth certificate.

There are so many resources out there on the internet, it would be impossible to list them all, but some people have made some quite exhaustive lists of links. I don't have the time or energy to do that, but here are a few of my favorites:
