A Little about "Polly"
I'm a Management Information Specialist at the University of Georiga in Athens, Georgia. My job focuses on all aspects of Distance Education within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences including, but not limited to, the Web, WebCT, streaming media, and videoconferencing. I try my best to break out of the "computer geek" stereotype. I've put some of my "fun" photos up to show everyone I do have a life! I love horses - both real (I used to show saddlebreds) and model horses (I collect and show). That hobby has allowed me to travel to some really fun places. I enjoy myself as you can see in some of the photos below! I have a miniature Shnauzer named Lulu and I love her to death - EVERYONE loves Lulu! Check out her page, too. |

I have a baby! March 30, 2004 No one ever thought I'd have a baby....well, now I do. Southern Crystal Dream Come True, aka Bloom, was born around 12:30 am March 30th. |

Photo Shoot Las Vegas, Nevada December 2003 We had a professional photographer take a bunch of photos while in Las Vegas. However, rest assured we hit the strip and saw the sights and lights of Las Vegas, too. Just didn't have time to photograph much while there. |

Horseback riding San Luis, Costa Rica Summer 2003 What an awesome experience to trot and canter through the countryside in San Luis in Costa Rica. |

Me and Season with our homestay San Luis, Costa Rica Summer 2003 We had the opportunity to stay with a Costa Rican family for two days and nights. It was one of the best parts of the trip. What wonderful and caring people! |
||
SkyWalk Monteverde, Costa Rica Summer 2003 I was terrified! You can see me holding on to both sides of the bridge. It was about 100 feet above the rain forest floor. There were 6 or 7 bridges total that we had to cross. It got better towards the end but I still have a fear of heights. |
||
Waterfall Cabo Blanco, Costa Rica Summer 2003 We hiked a long time to get to this pristine and well hidden waterfall. Located in a private reserve, few people have had the priviledge to see it. The water was very cold but what fun we all had. |

Halloween Party Winterville, Georgia at the Frye's home So, we're not "Danny and Sandy" (from Grease) but we did have a good time! |

Oct 14 2000Lipizzan Stallion Show Conyers, Georgia at the Ga. International Horse Park When they said you could have your picture made with one of the stallions, I didn't know I'd get the opportunity to actually get on one!

Shipshewana, Indiana March 2000 A bunch of us took a carriage ride - not in an Amish buggy, but with sweet drafters, Silver and Smoke. Talk about a slow ride! The Amish were passing us in their buggies! I got to hang out with Peter Stone, co-owner of Peter Stone Model Horse company, and went to his house for a bonfire and pizza party. |

Danny Model of Society Early-Mid 1990s Danny was my very first saddleseat mount. He taught me so much about riding! The joke was that you could put him in an arena without a rider and he'd still win! |
|
The Stormwatch Mid 1990s Webster was my challenge horse. It took a smart trainer and a lot of persistance on my part to become a team with him - and we finally did! He was such fun to ride. |
