Yes, it's really me.

April 02, 1998

Good morning! It's 7:45 in the morning, I'm up chatting with Jevim, and it's sunny outside! Sunshine always makes me feel better, and I get the feeling this will be a good day.

You may have noticed that I've subtitled this month's journal "April Showers." It was sort of a play on things around here lately. For about the last week or so, it had rained nearly every day, both outside and in. I've been an emotional mess since missing Jev really settled in, and any little thing has been enough to set me off. It figures, though, that now that I added the subtitle to the journal, the showers have tapered off. I'm hoping the emotional thing is gone from my system for a while, but I guess only time will tell.

Not a whole lot going on around here today. I caught up with my online classes' message boards, did a little cross-stitching, a little housekeeping, bookkeeping and diskkeeping, had lunch (twice!) and read a bit. I don't feel like I've accomplished much yet, but next I'll tackle putting more of my story online. I'm two days behind now, and getting more behind as I type.

It wasn't as easy a job as I thought it would be, since I've ended up doing more rewriting than polishing. Does one ever get to the point as a writer where they are wholly satisfied with what they've written? I haven't gotten there yet. *wry expression*

Actually, the sun is shining and it's nice and warm out, so I'm tempted to go out and walk around the yard and see how things are growing. A quick peek at Jev's schedule says he has classes for another twenty minutes or so, and so I'm going to put on my shoes and get out for a bit. Type to you later...

We have strawberries!!! Okay, okay, so maybe I got a little carried away there but... I've always wanted strawberries in my garden. Mom planted a couple plants last year, but they didn't really do anything. I figured the cold weather would kill them off, but they've just multiplied like crazy and really seem to be thriving. Hopefully they'll bear some fruit, sooner or later. I didn't see any buds yet, but then it's just starting to warm up here. I'm happy!!!
