To our surprise, Jev and I came downstairs yesterday and found a set of car keys and a note waiting for us, saying we could go wherever we wanted. We had Taco Bell for lunch, then headed to one of the smaller, nearby malls to see Ever After with Drew Barrymore. We had just missed the 1:20 show, so we bought tickets and looked around in the mall until the 4:20 showing.

The movie was quite cute, and made me want to find out more about the various versions of different folk tales and fairy stories, and I was glad to have finally managed to see it with Jev. Unlike Titanic, which we saw the afternoon before he left at the end of Spring break, neither of us left the theater in tears, and I think it made for a much nicer final evening together.

This morning, we woke up earlier than usual, even without an alarm, and we got him to the airport with plenty of time to spare before he was scheduled to depart. Of course, since we were more than an hour early to begin with, his plane was about 50 minutes short of having a full crew complement. Granted, it did give us a few extra minutes together, but even though they boarded early, Willa (Delina & Michelle's mom) and I were rather late picking Deanna up after school. I think the Cinnabon pit stop Willa made had a little do do with that. Oops.... it was yummy though.

We did eventually pick Deanna up and brought her home, and I spent a bit of time fixing her internet dialup and helping her in PowerPoint (which I've never used before). Now, Michelle's off work for the afternoon, and we're heading out to another mall so she can get her hair cut, and we'll probably shop til we drop. I'm in the back seat of Michelle's Saturn (Willa is with us), and was just saying to the two of them that Jev will graduate in nine months, and then I'll probably move with him to Maryland or thereabouts. And hopefully after that, we'll live happily ever after.

6:10 PM: Back on the road

Well, I went a little plastic-happy in our mall trip. Yes, I did get a good buy on my favorite jeans ($12 instead of $20) but then I bought a $10 pendant, and a $14 figurine, and a $5.50 Christmas ornament (all gifts), and spent another $4.50 or so on lunch. Oh well, at least I had fun!

Delina and Deanna met up with us at the mall, and now I'm on my way back home to be tech support again; the reason Deanna came to the mall was to get me, because her printer isn't printing. Nice to know I'm needed, for something. *wink*

Anyway, Jev's supposed to call when he gets home, which will be about 7:30 or so, and I wanted to be here for that, and spend some time goofing off on the computer.

Mchelle and her mom took the dogs on a slow walk last night; I'd have gone too, but Jev and I were cross stitching, so maybe I'll go tonight. Or... maybe Michelle is going to walk her babies now and check out the bare-chested roofers across the alley. I think I'll pass on that! At any rate, we're home, so it's time to fix the printer.
