Scribble, scribble, scribble.... Jev's lying here beside me, half asleep. I managed to wake him up a bit just a little while ago, but he was still tired, so he asked if I wanted to do something while he slept, and I asked for my journal.

Well, he was half asleep, till my p en died... he found me a new one (I'm on the side of the bed that is against the wall, so I have to climb over him to get anywhere), and then he said something about getting a font-making program and making a font out of my writing. Now he's lying here watching as I'm writing, and when I asked if he could read my scrawls, he started reading my journal aloud as I write. Now I feel like I have one of those programs that turns text into speech, and he's being very silly, making mistakes like one of those programs might. *laughing out loud* I abbreviated Text To Speech as TTS... I'll leave that to your imagination. See what I have to put up with? And no, I'm not giving him away! Now that he's read that, he's trying to tickle my feet... he's not trying very hard though.

Okay, he's stopped reading now, and is in the process of waking up. He's got the TV on for distraction, so let's see if I can accomplish something here. Well, if I can drag myself away from his channel-surfing. I hate that!

Anyway, to catch you up on things: Friday, Jev got stuck working late, and didn't get home until almost eight. By time we'd had dinner (yep, Pastalicious), the malls were close to closing, so we headed to the Rio, planning on seeing Hope Floatss. It didn't start for another 50 minutes, and since 6 Days, 7 Nights was starting in ten, we went to that. Jev had been feeling bad for working so late, but the movie got him laughing again, and we both enjoyed it.

Even after the movie, I was pretty stuffed, so we came home, curled up in bed, and tried to fall asleep. It was a little too warm to sleep at first, but I did eventually get there.

8:18 PM

I pled hunger, so Jev and I got ready and headed out to the mall. Cinnabons for a late breakfast, Quest for Camelot at the mall theater, and then we looked around the mall for a few hours. Jev wanted to go in the Disney Store, and I looked and looked, but resisted the urge to buy anything Pooh. They had some really cute stuff, but they wanted $24 or $26 for just a T-shirt, so I passed. There were a few things that were tempting, though, and I may go back for the Pooh coffee cup, or the big cup and saucer that I thought would be perfect for soup.

After the mall, we went to Target and got a few things, both necessary: lens solution, a fan for the bedroom, et cetera; and not: The Garth Brooks box set, and some bubble bath for me. As soon as Jev gets out of the bathroom, I'm heading in for a long soak. We did get to Bath and Body Works today too, so I got some "stinky stuff" as my friend Janice calls it, and when I come out, I'm gonna smell like fruit salad. *chuckle*

Yesterday was... Well, most of it was fun, but Jev and I had some things to work out yesterday morning, and for a while, I was't sure if we were going to get them worked out at all.

I'll admit that the living arrangements this time aren't exactly to my taste, and I spend 90% of the time that Jev's gone to work, cooped up here in the bedroom he's renting. And most of that time is offline, because his host is off work due to knee injury, and he gets calls throughout the day, so I'm not comfortable staying online for long. Besides that, Jev's done a few little things here and there that have irritated me or gotten on my nerves. I've been trying not to let it show, but apparently it does. And it's been bothering him that I really haven't seemed happy.

To make a long story short, he felt bad because he thought I wasn't enjoying my stay, and he got to the point where he needed me to telle him what he'd done right. I, put on the spot, couldn't think of a thing to say, and of course that only made things worse.e In the end, I broke down, and told him if he hadn't done anything right, then why the hell was I there with him in the first place, and why have we been together almost two years now. He said that was something he needed to hear, and after that, we managed to pull ourselves back together and get ready to head to D.C.

I knew Jev was nervous about meeting Karen, so I said we'd just make it a day trip and skip the "slumber party" because that way we didn't have to drag our stuff with us on the Metro, and through the streets of D.C. In the end, I wish we'd stayed, but we had fun nonetheless.

Despite our late start, we got to the hotel before Karen and her foster daughter got back from their adoption march, and unlike them, we beat the thunderstorm that broke over the city.

When they finally arrived, dripping, we went up to their room, where Karen changed into something dry, and we talked and tried to figure out where to go to eat. In the end, we let the cab driver the doorman hailed take us to Planet Hollywood. We talked for hours, or maybe I should say, Karen did most of the talking, and we all had such a fun time. No one else who'd mentioned interest had been able to come in the end, but it was nice just having the three of us (Karen's foster daughter sacked out after the march, and though she woke up enough to ask her to join us, she decided to skip dinner). Karen's just plain fun to be around. She knew me online before Jev and I met in person, and was one of the people who wanted to hear how it all went, when I got back from my first meeting with him. She said she thought Jev and I made a good couple, and looked good together.
