Spring has Sprung

March 21, 1998

Yesterday, I woke up and looked out my window and saw about an inch of snow on the ground. It was grey and dreary and spitting snow off and on all day. What a way to start the first day of spring! But this morning when I awoke, the sun was shining in my window, and I could hear birds chirping out in the trees. Spring has sprung!

Tomorrow is Jevim's 22nd birthday, actually in less than half an hour for him, as it is late as I write this. I didn't give him anything fancy this year; a little money to help with his plane ticket for spring break here, a cool mousepad that he had wanted, a can of cashews, and a week of me. He said he was happy with that, but I can't wait until we can be together for his birthday, like we were for mine last year. And to be able to spoil him the way he spoils me, too. He's so sweet.

I didn't accomplish a whole lot today; I worked a little on his afghan, which was supposed to be done for Christmas, then his birthday, and it's still not 100% done. I'm such a lazy bum.

I was such a lazy bum, in fact, that I never finished writing this entry. *sigh* Sorry....
