Sunday Driver

Sunday, May 17, 1998. 10:30pm

Mom took me out for another driving lesson this afternoon. I was a lot more comfortable behind the wheel, only came a little close to one of the three parked semis in the lot once, and did much better getting the gas and brake straight. It didn't seem like I drove as long as last time, but Mom wasn't feeling too great, and we'd gone out for drinks at Sonic beforehand, and I had to hurry up and get home.

Other than that, I really didn't do much today. I transplanted some catnip starts I had for the cats, did a lot of cross stitching, and watched the season finale of the X Files. I tried to go out to stargaze a while ago, but the neighbors to the west had all their upstairs lights on and that made it a little hard to see. When I moved off into the shadows, I got a little uneasy about being alone outside in the dark. I confess, I'm a chicken. Anyway, I came back inside and hopped online, and Jev showed up shortly thereafter.

All the cross stitching I'd done on the dragon Friday turned out to be useless. Not only was part of it in the wrong place, all of it was in the wrong combination of colors. So I tore all that out yesterday when I realized it, and started again on the tail, working up from where it enters the water. I updated the JPEG a bit, though this time I think I have a bit more stitching done than shows up.

I'm off to talk to Jev for a bit. Type to you tomorrow...
