introduction
Welcome to medaevia! My site is partly about medieval women, though eventually I hope it to be wholly about these fascinating women. It's not my usual style to stick to just one thing though.. so it might be a site partly about medieval women forever :)
The Links to Sites about Medieval Women page was made for a few reasons.. one being that I am a sometime student of the Middles Ages - the whole era was fascinating. But the aspects of history I am really into was how people lived... what they ate for breakfast, who they married, how they lived. I don't care what the dates were of some particular war or the names of the English kings. I just want to know what the average person's life was like. (And in the Middle Ages, according to most sources, it wasn't very good.) I hope you find these sites as interesting as I do.. they give us an insight into the way life was then.
I've had websites for quite a while now, and after seeing many many other html hints pages on the net, I thought I'd make my very own Guide to Geocities and HTML. The html tips are what I think improves the look of a page, and if you don't like my site then you probably wouldn't find them all that useful.
Of course there has to be a page of my favourite links... they all go to sites I like or find useful. I hope you do too!
My Webrings are all here.
And medaevia's very first award, the Wellesley/6200 Block Award. Thanks, Heather :)
The award below was an unexpected surprise... :)
