'Swans Reflecting Elephants' shows the brilliance of Dali as an illusionist, and 'Persistence of Memory' has two of the features that Dali has become famous for - floppy watches and Spanish beaches. Dali was born in Spain in 1904 and spent most of his life there, his wife Gala, modelled for many of his paintings; many were self-portraits. Dali died in 1989. The Salvador Dali Art Gallery has over 1500 paintings, drawings and sculptures scanning the artists career, there are many Dali pages but this is by far the most comprehensive I've seen...
