This
is the wonderful Art deco world of
Tamara
de Lempicka
'Girl
Sleeping'
'Le
Printemps'
Polish
born, Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980) moved to Russia,
where
she and her husband lived until his arrest in the revolution.
Tamara
secured his release and the two moved to Paris, which
turned
out to be a very good career move for her, as it was there
that
she learned to paint. She is perhaps the most famous painter
of
the Art Deco style.
