"Unforgetable"

Once upon a time...in a land called New Jersey (Jerzy by the peasants), in the urban kingdom of Jersey City, a princess was born on the 16th day of August in the Lord's year of 1966. She was born to the kingdom scholars: one taught sixth grade and the other taught kindergarten. They decided to name the girl child Mary Beth. Eleven months later (quick like a bunny), they had another girl child called Stephanie. The two princesses grew and grew. They learned all the things that princesses should learn. The one princess, Mary Beth, did not like to do the usual princess things. She hid in the privy when it was time for ballroom dancing and would oft times be found in the courtyard climbing trees. This distressed her mother deeply and her father felt sure she would grow out of it (well folks....it never happened).

When Mary Beth was in the twelth year of her life, her parents decided it was time to move to the kingdom suburbs. This was a difficult time for our princess, who was unfamiliar with the suburb ways and common language. Mary Beth was an urban princess not a suburban princess. The other princesses made fun of her garb. Her garb was not made by the local seamstress, Lady Sasson. Mary Beth continued not doing what other princesses did. They were out trying to catch the eye of every Sir Lancelot that galloped by. But not our Princess... she was off reading or painting. Then one day during her physical education studies her instructor noticed her natural athletic ability and encouraged her to join in some competitive activities, such as volleyball and tennis. So she did and...low and behold...she became very popular. Mary Beth found that there were other princesses that liked the same things she did and she was happy.

It finally came time for Mary Beth to pick a husband and what do you think Mary Beth did?...that's right, she went to further her education and knowledge at the local institution of learning called Rutgers University.

Here our princess learned to be a healer. She was a quick learner and enjoyed her studies... ALAS...no partaking of the grape for her. When she finished her studies, she went to practice her art in the town hospital. Here she took care of the people called critically ill. Mary Beth did well as a healer and decided to return to the university for further education and become a specialist in critical care. During this time she met a young, dark-haired, blue-eyed, scientist named Jim. Mary Beth liked Jim's intelligence and kind ways. Soon they where married.

They moved to a small castle on a lake and lived there happily for several years. Then Mary Beth and Jim began to grow apart from each other; each one wanting something different . So they decided to separate from each other. This made Jim and Mary Beth good friends rather than enemies.

So now what does our princess do?..... well... I will tell you. She decides to do things that princesses never do.

THE END

I hope you enjoyed the story as it is about me. I am sure you got a sense about who I am. As you can tell, I am 31 and a critical care nurse specialist. Currently, I live with a great roommate on a lake in Hopatcong, NJ. We have a cat named Drambuie, (don't ask). I am new to the puter world and I am always interested in learning new things. If you have a web page, I would love to see it...drop me an e - mail or ICQ page me. My interests as you can see from my web site are spirituality, alternative therapies and women's issues...(Oops...I almost forgot... and GOLF). Humor has always been important to me and I think more people need to lighten up. I also subscribe to the "random acts of kindness" school of thinking. I believe that we all have control over our actions and need to take responsibility for them. Your life is your life...so live it for you. Don't blame your folks , your husband or society for where you are. As you can see from my story, I have not always done things that have been considered traditional for my gender... well, with the exception of becoming a nurse ¬¿ô. I have finally come to a point in my life where I will find out about me and not be concerned about what other people think I should be doing.

Thank you for taking the time to find out about me!
