My Photo Album

Our home in Mumbai

Peregrine Building, where we live in Mumbai.

My husband Kenneth in our computer room - before the computer arrived! From this view we see the sun go down in the Arabian Sea. However, in this picture the clouds are covering the horizon.

The view from our bedroom. We see the sunrise from this window.

From the same bedroom window we also see the famous Siddhivinayak temple of the Hindu God Ganesh. It is situated on the opposite side of Veer Savarkar.

The beach of the Arabian Sea outside our building. It is very dirty and sealed off by barbed wires, in order to keep trespassers out of the area of the apartment buildings.

Wedding Photos

A wedding picture taken right before the ceremony by our friend Katja Uthardt, who is an amateur photographer.

My dad is walking me down the aisle guided by my cousins Mia and Hanna.

Kenneth and I are waiting to greet our guest together with our parents.

The bride and groom are dancing and celebrating the New Year.

My Friends

Before the wedding, my childhood friends dressed me up for a last night on the town as a single woman.

My sweet "sweat sisters"in a traditional photo pose of a sweat sister's wedding.

Views of Mumbai

Women carrying water pots on their heads. Dressed in their sarees in the typical Maharastra style.

A child looking at the people in the street through a mirror.

A young girl begging for rupee coins in the street at Nariman Point.

A ragpicker smiling at the camera, while collecting trash on the beach outside our building.

T he Hindu God Ganesh, symbolizing pure energy and prosperity.

Salesmen in the street, with their colourful baskets of fruits and vegetables.
