- piñya trees - Tall, evergreen trees with black bark and black-green, needle-thin leaves. When properly dried and prepared, lumber from this tree (widely used in building, at a premium price) does not burn easily. A high resin content in the needles, cones and smaller branches, however, makes these parts highly incendiary.=back=
- pulling beasts - A large, shaggy, herbivore used to pull wagons and carts. The gray-mottled skin can be tanned and used for clothing. The milk tastes oily but is drinkable. The meat requires tenderizing and marinating before preparation.=back=
