October 3rd - Sault Ste Marie - "The Soo"

Some days are just cold, wet, and gray! We drove through it today, the rain sometimes heavy or mixed with snow. The image from last night's newscast was before me...the picture of the weather "low" in this area - and on the other side of that low, sunshine and warmth.

I enjoy the rain; there is something restful about it. Maybe the "gray days" of our lives are meant to entice us to slow down a little. They hone our appreciation of sun and light. They call us to hope in what is on the other side of the "low".

I stopped for lunch at the Busy Bee Smoke Free restaurant. It was "down home" and crowded. The lady at the next table started a conversation which led to sharing about my journey. The people at the table in back of me overheard and joined in! It was great fun! Donna and I exchanged email addresses - of course!

Now we are cozied up in a campsite with the heater going as the rain makes music on the roof. Jessie is already fast asleep!
