October 10th - traveling west

Another couple from BC and I have the campground all to ourselves, except for the caretaker! It's a beautiful place just outside Moosomin. SK. Margaret and Bob invited me for supper in their trailer so the evening has been pleasantly passed in their company.

Tomorrow I'll be heading for Qu'appelle and visiting at a House of Prayer that Sheila recommended.

Last night Sheila and I sat on the patio and watched, and listened to, the moon and the stars. It was hard to leave Gurtishall and an excellent companion. On the drive I felt that I was not leaving people behind, but rather, I was enclosing them in my heart and taking them with me.

The vast horizon of the Manitoba fields leads me to think about our perceptions, and how we place limits on our visions. There are no such restrictions here! The landscape is gold right now with the trees and the crops changing colour. And it is very flat, stretching as far as my eye can see. Entering Saskatchewan, hills start to appear, and more trees. But the sense of Prairie expanse stays with me.
