Azalea Trails Girl Scout Camp

“Azaleas

Fresh green pines towering to the sky
Lofty tips blowing catch the eye
Rocky slopes call to hikers’ stride
This is our camp and we sing with pride…

One of two camps run by the San Gorgonio Girl Scout Council, Azalea Trails is located in the San Jacinto Mountains, near Idyllwild, California. It was established in 1940.

It is a lovely, rustic place to spend a summer. Girls sleep on cots under the stars and eat family style at tables under the trees. There is a beautiful lodge where folkdancing, singing and Tajar parties are held. Favorite activities include horseback riding, pine needle skiing, archery, and hiking.
