Looking for the parents of a Maj. James Warren who is buried beside his wife, Sarah, in the Steep Falls, Maine Cemetery (slate stone and a War of 1812 Marker beside his grave). Maj. Warren was born Oct. 14, 1771 and died May 23,1854. This family has been found in Hollis and Steep Falls, Maine but Maj. Warren moved to Steep Falls in 1832 - 1835 and bought the old Charles place on the Baldwin-Steep Falls line. Any information would be appreciated.

I am interested in sharing notes with genealogists researching the line of John Ela, b. NH about 1806,removed to Fryeburg and raised a large family there between 1840-1860. He is buried in Fryeburg. He had at least three wives (Lucinda, Jane Dolloff, and Temperance Hamlin.) Of particular interest is parentage of John Ela and his second wife Jane Dolloff.
