Meat Balls with Glutinous Rice

INGREDIENTS:
400 g Pork (with fat)
2 Tbsp Dried Shrimps (soak for 15 mins)
1 tsp Minced Ginger
1 cup Glutinous Rice

SEASONING:
1 tsp Light Soya Sauce
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp White Pepper
1/2 tsp Sesame Oil


  1. Remove the dried shrimps from the water. Squeeze them dry in your hands.
  2. Mince the pork with the dried shrimps and minced ginger. Add in the seasoning and 1/2 tsp cornflour.
  3. Whip the mixture into a colloid and leave aside to marinate for about 20 minutes.
  4. Wash the glutinous rice and soak for about 3 hours. Drain water and pour the grains into a mixing bowl. Add in 1 Tbsp of cornflour.
  5. Roll the pork colloid into a ball and coat it with the glutinous rice. Steam for about 30 minutes over high heat.
  6. Serve.
