Red Bean Paste Puff
"Jin Qiu Man Sheng"
Golden Balls All Over the Place!




INGREDIENTS:
170 g Glutinous Rice Flour
30 g Peanut / Corn Oil
1 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 cup Boiling Water
170 g Red Bean Paste


  1. Mix the glutinous rice flour with the sugar and the oil in a mixing bowl.
  2. Pour the boiling water into the above mixture and stir well. Cover the dough with a piece of wet cloth for about 15 minutes.
  3. Knead the dough into a roll and cut it into small rolls. Flatten them into a circular shape. Stuff the red bean paste into the pasty and roll it into the shape of a ball.
  4. Heat peanut / corn oil and when it is very hot, deep-fry the red bean paste puffs till golden in colour.
  5. Drain the excess oil with paper towels before putting them onto the plate. Sprinkle some fine sugar on them before serving.
