This Penn State organization has been around since 1984. Womyn's Concerns is best known for its efforts in organizing (at Penn State) National Young Women's Day of Action, the Take Back the Night Rally, and poetry readings throughout the academic year.

Penn State's Women's Studies department hasn't stopped growing for the past twenty years. Although the department thrives on the interdisciplinary nature of Women's Studies, it offers both a women's studies major and minor. Graduate students in other disciplines can also choose Women's Studies as a minor.

The CWS is a great resource for information regarding a wide variety of women's issues at Penn State. CWS organizes the Clothesline Project at Penn State University Park, several self-defense sessions throughout the year, and provides a women's resource library and lounge in the Boucke Building on the
University Park campus.
