How
can you help?
Financial
support is necessary for the chorus to meet its future goals, which
include sharing the stage with professional women artists, commissioning
music exclusively for our chorus to perform, and expanding the number
and types of performances conducted yearly. All gifts to SisterSound
are tax-deductible.
Those
giving gifts of $50-$100 will receive one ticket to both our Fall
and Spring concerts. Those giving more than $250 will receive two
tickets to each. Any gift, however, is greatly appreciated.
Other
ways you can help SisterSound —
- Join
Us! Whether you have a lot of musical experience or none, what
matters most is getting members willing and dedicated to fulfilling
the chorus' mission. Get in touch with us for information on how
to join.
- Become
a Friend of the Chorus. This auxiliary does a lot of the dirty
work behind the scenes, but they're crucial to our success. You
need not be female to join the auxiliary.
- Keep
in touch. We can add you to our mailing list to let you know about
concerts, events, and other opportunities for you to help us in
our vision. Just send us your contact information via the links
on these pages.
-
Advertise in our programs! We sell ads in the Fall that are good
for both concerts. Generally that means reaching around 1,000
people with the cost of one ad. Check
here for current prices. These ads help pay for the programs
themselves, the rental of the concert halls, and for guest performers.
- MOST
importantly: COME to our concerts! Music is meant to be shared.
An audience is just as necessary as the performers. Your continued
support means a lot for those of us who have worked hard preparing
for our concerts. If you can't come yourself, spread the word
about us to those you think may come. You can also buy a ticket
so that others may experience the gift of music. If you have suggestions
for shelters and other groups to whom we can give donated tickets,
let us know.
