- GALA
Choruses — SisterSound is a proud member of the Gay and
Lesbian Association of Choruses. We take pride in our diversity,
and urge you to check out their web page for other great choruses
all around the world.
- Voices
of Kentuckiana — Voices is a mixed (SATB) chorus with
whom we first sang in June, 1999. The experience was wonderful. It's
so good to know that there are three choruses working
for similar goals here in Kentucky.
- MUSE,
The Cincinnati Women's Chorus — A wonderful group of
women with whom we've worked on occasion. In May 1999, we joined them in performing Kay Gardner's oratorio "Ouroboros". Check out their
site to see what they're up to now.
- Margie
Adam — Margie was our guest artist in Spring 1999. She's
not only a wonderful performer, but wonderful to meet in person.
(She even answers her own e-mail) :) So, check out her site.
-
GLSO — "The Bluegrass Gay and Lesbian Services Organization's ongoing goal is to to improve the quality of life for members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered communities of Eastern and Central Kentucky and their families."
-
Pride Center of the Bluegrass — "Providing a focal point for the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgendered Community of central Kentucky by maintaining a safe, positive gathering space with current information media access."
- UK
Lambda — "UK Lambda is the officially recognized lesbian,
gay, bisexual, and transgender student organization of the University
of Kentucky. UK Lambda functions as an outlet for students in
social, political, and educational arenas and empowers them to
develop an identity in the queer community."
- Women in The Arts — This is the website for the National Women's Music Festival, held annually at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Of particular interest is the NWMF Chorus which has been performing under the direction of Justine Golden since the 2000 Festival. Several SisterSound members have enjoyed participating in the chorus.
