THE COWELL FAMILY TREE
I do not have many of the dates and facts for this family yet.
John W Cowell came to Victoria, Australia from the Isle of Man and married Cath Pender (whose father was a business man in the Melbourne area).
They had three children:
Charles Joseph (1841-1927) my great, great grandfather married Alice Helen CREEK abt. 1884
Alicia (1843-unknown)
William J (1848-unknown)
Charles Joseph and Alice Helen had three children:
Charles William (1884-1973) my great grandfather married Beatrice Annie HILL in 1911
Leslie James (1886 -unknown)
Augustus (1888 - unknown)

The Hill Family Tree
Tom Hill (abt.1856-1926) and wife Hannah "Annie" Kirby (abt. 1851-1934) arrived in Sydney in 1883 from England on the ship "Cardigan Castle". Accompanying them were their sons, Archibald (3) and Francis (2).
Tom and Annie were born in Wiltshire. Tom was a bricklayer and continued his trade in Australia, running his own building company.
They had five more children in Australia:
Winifred (1853-1888)
Bessie (1887-unknown)
Beatrice Annie , my great grandmother (1889-1941) married Charles William Cowell in 1911
Wilfred (1892- unknown) married Muriel Girdler in 1918
Mildred (1897-unknown) married Cyril Palmer in 1926
Tom's parents names' were John and Anne. Annie's parents are listed in the ships register as dead.
