THE WADE
FAMILY TREE

The Wade Family was among the first settlers in the NSW area of Bathurst.  My 3rd great grandfather Charles Wade arrived in Australia about 1836.  He was from Bedfordshire, England. He took up land in Winburndale in  Bathurst about 1843. He married Julia Carty in 1842 in the Church of England , Kelso. (source: Marriage Transcription).  He died on 3rd November 1879 in the town of Meadow Flat.  Their children were:

John (my 2nd great grandfather) was a landholder in the area of Fish River, near the post town of Mutton's Falls in 1885.  John married Mary Ann Murray in 1877. He died  29 December 1917.  Their children were:

Charles John (my great grandfather) married Emily Dowler of Tarana.

Thomas
Mary
Sarah
Elizabeth
Kathleen

Charles John and Emily had six children:

Leigh married Adelaide Scoular
Herbert (    - 1960)
Vera married Leslie Brown 1933
Francis married Elizabeth Dykes
Thomas Arthur (1914-1925)
Frances Mary, my grandmother (1916-1976) married John William Ryan

The family church at Kirconnell, between Lithgow and Bathurst, NSW where many of the Wade family members are buried.
