COUNTDOWN TO THE NATIONAL HOLIDAY KNOWN AS MY BIRTHDAY: 2 DAYS
Curiosity killed the Firewolf on The Puppy Papers. It is about one woman's journey into the world of Dominance/submission, from a submissive point of view. The idea of being submissive to...well, anyone or anything is so foreign to me. I just want to try and understand why a person feels the need for it.
I remember a few years ago, there was a woman on the Mystic Maidens e-list (back before it imploded - and boy, did it implode!) who was in a D/s relationship. She got a lot of attention when she first joined, mainly for the same reason I ordered this book. She was fairly open about it, except when it came to her kids. Of course, she didn't want them to know about it.
I remember she said that being a submissive made her feel incredibly free. She didn't have to make any decisions at all because her husband (and Master) did it all for her and she simply had to follow orders. The freedom came because she didn't stress about anything - she just did it.
That seems so counter-intuitive to my mind. I guess it seems that way because I know how I am - always questioning, usually contrary. I know I would last about two seconds in such a relationship because the first order would come and I'd say, "Why?" Of course, then the person would think punishment was in order. The whips would come out and I wouldn't be content until I got the damn things and gave as much as I got. :::SMACK!::: "Yeah! Whaddaya think about that! Don't feel so good to be on the receiving end of it, does it?!" :::SMACK!::: "Come at me, will ya?" :::SMACK!::: "Take that, asshole!" :::SMACK!::: :::SMACK!::: :::SMACK!:::
Good god, I just realized how that paragraph sounds. :::Snicker::: Don't get any ideas, y'all.
