It snowed today. It wasn't the kind of snow a person would expect, but snow it did. I swear - it did.
The wind danced as it snowed. First it would prance hard out of the south, only to reverse on itself as if listening to music only it and its partners could hear. Every now and then, all would be silent for a few seconds - every good dance requires a partner to be dipped, you know.
The snow would come in bursts. Out of the calm came a riot of color. Mostly golds from the hickory trees but reds and oranges as well. The leaves were the wind's dance partners - swirling, twirling and tumbling.
It snowed today and the trees are a little more bare.
