Round Robin Birthday Quilts
| Somewhere back in the dark ages, one of us had a fiftieth birthday and the rest decided to make a small quilt in the round robin style so it wouldn't be too much burden on any one person. Pretty soon someone else had a fiftieth birthday, then another and another. We couldn't let anyone feel left out so the tradition was born that everyone would get their fiftieth birthday quilt. Unfortunately we overlooked the fact that we missed the very first one of us to 'turn', but finally rectified that by making her a sixtieth birthday quilt. Now, we have retired from the practice because we have made a pact to not get any older.
