Some interesting facts about our group- we are unbelievably all still married to our original husbands, we have been married for 31 years, we are 57 years old, we have 2 kids each, except for one of us who has one son and two grandchildren. We are 5'4" tall and weigh 133#. We have been quilting since the late 70's and manage to turn out about six new quilts a year. Together we have been in just about every magazine and book about art quilters, 15 Quilt National exhibits, as well as most other nationally recognised shows. By now, you have figured that this information is our AVERAGED information- and here is our AVERAGE telephone number too: 687-843-2657! By looking at a map, we figure our AVERAGE address is somewhere in Watertown, Massachusetts. |

We are a group of women who have now been meeting almost twenty years as a support and critique group for our art quilts. Over that time we have all gone in quite different directions with our work, unlike similar groups that seem to have a direct design influence upon each other. There are seven of us and we meet every third week in the evenings. The first part of the meeting is given over to paper work--we share information on upcoming shows, we pass out copies of pertinent articles, we catch each other up on things that have happened. After the 'business' part of our meeting, we take turns throwing out our latest work in the center of our circle for discussion. Some pieces in progress come back several times, others are initially presented completed-- it all depends on how a particular work has captured its maker.
