Sunday 23rd July - Started to snow in New Zealand (Mount Ruapehu). Simon phoned to let me know. He's happy about that (he's taken three months off to go skiing, and it helps if there is snow!) Talked to Mum on the phone for about an hour.
Friday 28th July 2000 - Had a work function where we had limitless beer and wine.
Saturday 29th July - Woke up at about 8:30, took some headache tablets with a few glasses of water, then went back to bed until about midday. There is a price to "free" alcohol!

Sunday 27th August - Start of Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time). More daylight after work. Although it is still officially winter, they decided to start Daylight Saving Time earlier because it would have normally started during the Olympics, and that would have caused chaos. Daylight Saving is great because that's what allows Sydneysiders to go to the beach for a few hours after work in summer to work on their tans. Totally wasted the day, apart from cooking a nice dinner and chatting to Jim (from the Madonna list) for more than an hour.

Went to Matt's place in Bondi for the first barbecue of the summer and watched the swimming with Matt and Laura. GO AUSSIE!!! Had a look at the weather forecast - it's supposed to get up to 29 C (84 F) on Thursday! In New Zealand, it'll get up to 18 C (65 F). LOL!
Sunday 17th September - Watched part of the Triathlon. It was so hot today - I'd hate to have to go for a swim, then bike ride, then run! Met Josh in the city and bought the new Madonna album, "Music". I am not going to listen to it until I've passed my TCP/IP exam.
