Rainbownotes Erny Schwarz, '56, is going well in Toronto, Canada these days. Since retiring from Allegheny, Erny spends his time writing, having recently completed a draft of a novel, several short stories and some short plays. He writes that "I love the hustle and bustle of a big city "I go to the theater at least once a week." He invites alumni to contact him if there are ever in the Toronto area. Bruce Shewitz, '73, attended the March Cleveland get-together honoring retiring alumni director Richard Stewart, who has been a strong supporter of gay, lesbian, and bisexual concerns on campus and among alumni. "I was particularly pleased to have the opportunity to talk with President Cook about our concerns, and I hope the discussion can continue at alumni events on campus and throughout the country." Good Company: A Vocal Ensamble, in which Bruce sings baritone and of which he is president, has just released its first CD recording. "A Rose e'er Blooming" features well- and lesser-known music from the Advent and Christmas season. Having brought the group successfully through obtaining not-for-profit status and raising funds to cover the cost of producing the CD, Bruce is ready to pass along the gavel and enjoy just singing for a while! Kathy Randel, '78, is the Unit Program Coordinator of the Marketing Unit at Harvard Business School."I run faculty conferences, retreats and seminars and the required marketing course for MBAs. My e-mail address is krandel@hbs.edu. I recently moved to Arlington, Massachusetts." Daniel Noel, '95,is now living in Martinez (northeast of San Francisco in the Bay Area), with his boyfriend Daryl. More than half way finished with his Master's in Counseling Psychology, Daniel absolutely loves "the path I am on right now. I am finishing up an internship doing therapy with low functioning families who have children in elementary school in Richmond, CA. I will be one of the intern counselors at the Dominican College Counseling Services, which happens to be the school that I am attending." "I will graduate next Spring, finishing my third year here. While living in the Bay Area, it is sometimes hard for me to comprehend how I made it through four years of Meadville and have such a great time. Would love to make it back for a visit, but cannot make it this year. I love playing tourist guide to people visiting San Francisco, so email me at DiverDanCa@aol.com if you ever visit."
Where have all the alumni gone? With over 100 of you out there, there certainly has to be some change going on in your lives? Drop us a note, give us a call, but hey, lets hear from you.
