Students at the University of Illinois are pleading with officials to cancel an EMINEM concert this week - because they think he's sexist and anti-gay.
Students say the controversial MY NAME IS rapper's concert violates the university's policy against discrimination.
Student NICK SAKURAI says, "I believe this concert is an explicit form of harassment. This is the university profiting from hate masqueraded as entertainment."
But university spokesperson BILL MURPHY says, "We can't cancel the concert now, we're in a contract. We sold 8,000 tickets in the first two hours of them going on sale, so although some students are opposed, lots of them want to see the concert.
"Universities are about artistic interpretation and we can't censor a concert.
"We are going to have ample security because we are expecting some small demonstrations."
The hip-hop star is noted for his explicit lyrics depicting drug use and violence, particularly against women.
